At Expressions we help children to become competent and confident learners by empowering them to make choices and supporting them in their interests.

 Our environment is a home away from home, designed to encourage tamariki to discover what engages them through a range of stimulating and challenging play areas, activities and resources.

Our teachers support freedom of choice, and use children's own interests to extend their learning through art, music, dramatic play, verbal communication and physical activity; using a wide range of learning resources.

Learning activities are tailored to meet the needs of all early childhood, ensuring children progress successfully through milestones and are well equipped for primary school.

Operating in a mixed age setting, we encourage children to have respectful interactions with each other and adults, promoting a sense of belonging, self-worth and confidence.

We pride ourselves on providing a supportive atmosphere, valuing open communication with whanau.

We work alongside caregivers and whanau to practice in a multi-cultural way, to meet and respect the needs of our multi ethnic community.

“Te Whaariki”  - the NZ Early Childhood Curriculum -  is embedded in our practice to reflect the reciprocal relationships between children, families and the learning environment.
